Fresh Option Organic Delivery is a Winnipeg-based business, founded by now mom-of-3, Marnie Feeleus in early 2003. F.O.O.D. is owned by Marnie and operated with a dedicated team of awesome employees, who rock the fresh box each and every week. Magnificent fresh fruits and vegetables are our biggest delight and main undertaking. We gather fresh produce from local farms, as well as importing from certified organic ones for items that can't be grown here in Manitoba, or for when they're out of season here.

Our customers are residential householders in Winnipeg, as well as wholesale and commercial clients including chefs, institutional buyers, organic and natural food retailers, childcare centres, schools, caterers, bakeries, and co-operative buying clubs.

The local producers we work with to enable the widest selection and longest availability window, are mainly small-scale and family-run. They have a vested interest in growing with environmental sustainability as a priority, and with the demands of the Fresh Option clients at the forefront. By creating a localized sustainable food system where all players can prosper, we help keep dollars circulating in our community.

We reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost all of our organic waste (even the unbleached paper towels). We believe that all businesses should be responsible for implementing policies that reduce their environmental impact so we put our money where our values are to do just that. Our system minimizes packaging as well as reducing fuel consumption. We support food security initiatives and donate surplus food (healthy and organic of course) to food banks and other food security projects in the area. When possible, we source and use goods and services from other green-minded and socially-conscious businesses in our community

Fresh Option's primary mission is to provide eaters in Winnipeg with a new alternative for accessing food and to thus strengthen Manitoba's organic market through cooperation with local producers. We are driven by a philosophy of sustainable environmental practices, community stewardship and socially conscious action.
